For over 65 years, Beta Sigma Lambda has provided leadership and service in the Greater Hartford Area impacting the lives of our youth and their families. In each endeavor we hold high the fraternity motto "First of all, servants of all, we shall transcend all". Our Fraternity Mission Statement: "Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. develops leaders, promotes brotherhood and academic excellence, while providing service and advocacy for our communities." From that, we have three pillars that form the foundation of our initiatives: Service, Scholarship and Education.

The 161st House of Alpha is a place for brothers to meet, greet, and serve our community and membership.
